Upcoming PTSO Meeting
The final PTSO meeting of the year will be held on Monday, May 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the library. Please plan on attending as we will be nominating candidates to serve as PTSO officers for the upcoming school year.
New Portable Trailer for 2012 - 2013
Based on our current student enrollment, projections of additional students for next year and our desire to provide enough space for the educational needs of students, the School Division will be installing one new portable classroom at Osbourn Park. OPHS Baccalaureate Service and Senior Banquet, on June 3rd
Families of graduating seniors are invited to attend and participate in our Baccalaureate Service and Senior Banquet; these two events have been a tradition for over 10 years. The Baccalaureate Ceremony begins at 3 p.m. in the auditorium and features special music, inspirational messages from clergy, and poignant reflections from fellow students on their senior year. The Senior Banquet begins at 5 p.m. in the first floor cafeteria and features a catered meal, along with a slideshow presentation by Mr. Beech of reflections and memories of the senior class. Invitations and RSVP forms were mailed to all senior families in late April. If you did not receive the mailing or have misplaced it - you may find copies in the May OPHS Newsletter. Literary Magazine
The 2012 Osbourn Park Literary Magazine is coming soon. The magazine features poetry, fiction, and artwork from students throughout the school and the cover design by Ashley Collins. It will be available for purchase in all lunchrooms during the month of May for $5. Click here to view the NEW promotional video.
Operation Graduation
Tickets for the Operation Graduation may purchased from Mrs. Wendy Miehm in the main office or during the graduation practice. Prices are $40 until May 18, $45 May 19 – June 7 and $50 at the door on June 8. Activities at the party will include Bungee Run, Air Brush Tatoos, Rockwall Climbing, Rodeo Bull Ride, and Lazer Runner, Casino Games, Photos, Prizes and free Food!
Parents who would like to volunteer at the party or set up before, please contact Christina Cox at mchristinacox@hotmail.com or Nina Lomax at 703-361-7205. We are in need of 100 volunteers. Late night parents get extra kudos!!

FRIDAY, JUNE 1 - Parent Portal Registrations and Online Contact Editing will be turned off and no further registration or edits will be accepted until after the new school year transition. NO NEW PARENT ACCOUNTS WILL BE CREATED UNTIL FALL.
MONDAY, JUNE 18 - All updates to Parent Portal will stop and no further data updates will be sent to SchoolFusion until Fall. Any pending parent registrations that have not been processed will be deleted and those parents will need to reapply next year.
Parent Portal WILL NOT be updated with Summer School Information and no Summer School Information will be sent to SchooolFusion.
